If the suction seal is not properly released before you remove the cup, it can sometimes be messy. Once you learn to release the cup properly, there should not be any problem. Pulling Blossom cup out too fast, or tipping it at too steep an angle could cause some spillage. Again, once you get some practice removing and emptying Blossom cup, things will be fine. Just remove the cup slowly and as close to straight down (with minimal tipping) as possible.

Many women choose to boil their cups before or after their cycles. You can immerse your Blossom Cup in boiling water for 5-7 minutes at a time to sterilize it – try to keep your cup from touching the sides or bottom of the pot by using a pair of tongs to keep it steady and remove it from the boiling water. Let your Blossom Cup cool down completely before using it.
